Florence Dixon Obituary
Nov. 19, 2002, at the age of 88 our beloved mother went home to be with the Lord. Born Sept. 27, 1914. Preceded in death by her loving husband, John W. Dixon. Survived by her three children, Dtrs. Linda Rucker Meidinger & husband Bob Meidinger, Barbara Tisher Roth & husband Bruce and son, John W. Dixon Jr. & wife Catherine. She will always be remembered as the most wonderful Grandma to Ginger Robinson, Mark Csurny, Brent Tisher, Arron Dixon & Traci Tisher. Great-grandma to John, Emily, Joshua & Tyler. A resident of Sacto since 1953. She filled her life with family, friends and the Lord. She was very proud to be a charter member of the Arcade Wesleyan Church since 1954 until the present. She was loved by family & friends. We will sorely miss our mother Florence in our lives, but look forward to seeing her and Daddy in the next one. Friends are welcome to join her family at a memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 12:00pm at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks. Reception following at the Arcade Wesleyan Church, 3532 Whitney Ave., Sacto. Remembrances can be made in Florence's name in lieu of flowers to the Arcade Wesleyan Church.
